Interested in volunteering? Let’s help you get started.

If you’re interested in volunteering your time to help animals – thank you! The best way that volunteers can support our efforts to help animals is contributing to our Data Volunteers databases. Our Data Volunteers databases are specifically set up to allow volunteers to contribute in a way which is interesting without minimum time commitments or binding deadlines. As a Data Volunteer, you can contribute to what you want, when you want, as much as you want.

The idea is simple. We’re creating databases of people, organisations, and sources relevant to our mission to help animals. Data Volunteers simply search online for the information, enter it into a shared Google Sheet, and link to the source. Data Volunteers can contribute to whichever database is most interesting to them.

There are databases on the following subjects:

  • NGOs – the non-profits working on animal farming and related issues
  • Alt protein companies – the businesses making animal product alternatives
  • Animal industry – the associations and groups representing the livestock industry
  • Academics – university researchers with an interest in the protein transition
  • Politicians – MPs, councillors, and other lawmakers in the UK and globally
  • Journalists – individual journalists and outlets with relevant interests/coverage
  • Sources – academic papers and grey literature on meat reduction topics
  • Grants – research funding opportunities for meat reduction research

If you are interested in being a Data Volunteer, please fill out this form, and we will be in touch with more information!
