Codex Committee on Natural Mineral Waters (7th Session)

The Committee agreed to:

• Rename the Proposed Draft Standard to Proposed Draft Standard for Bottled/Packaged Drinking Waters (Other than Natural Mineral Waters) and requested the Commission to consider its immediate adoption.
• Amend the levels of Health Related Limits for Certain Substances in the revised Codex Standard on Natural Mineral Waters so that they would be consistent with the WHO Guidelines on Drinking Water Quality and refer to the Codex Committee on Food Additives and Contaminants for endorsement and to the Codex Alimentarius Commission for adoption;
• Adjourn sine die, considering that it had completed the work assigned to it by the 22nd Session of the Codex Alimentarius Commission.
