LABELLING – Council discusses progress on the Proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on the provision of food information to consumers

The following is an extract from the minutes of the Agriculture and Fisheries Council meeting:

– Progress report from the Presidency

The Council took note of the Presidency progress report on the proposal for a Regulation on the provision of food information to consumers, which briefly describes the state of play of the discussions within the Council's preparatory bodies on this complex legislative dossier (10641/09).

The examination of the file will continue during the Swedish Presidency in order to reach an agreement.
