LABELLING - Declaration of use of colours in feed

Exchange of views on a request from the Dutch Authorities for the labelling of foodstuffs, declaring all used couloring agents in the feed food chain.

There was a request for the Commission to prepare draft legislation, enabling all the colours used during the production process to be indicated on the labelling of the final product, there was an exchange of views on this matter.

All the delegations except two were in favour of the draft legislation being prepared. The technical aspects of this would therefore be examined within the group of experts on “labelling”.
